Public Skating Schedule
Public Programs will be scheduled at the Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre, and the Sunderland Memorial Arena from October 1, 2024 - March 30, 2025. Programs at Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre will commence October 15, 2024.
**There will be no Public Skating October 4 in Sunderland or Beaverton due to a scheduled Tournament.

Admission Fees
Review our public skating admission fees:
- $3 for public skating (5 years of age and older)
- $10 family rate for public skating (5 members per family)
- $5 for Stick and Puck and Shinny Hockey
- $2 for Parents and Tots and Seniors (50+) skates - Kids 4 & under are free
- $5 for Drop-In Figure Skating

Parents and Tots and Seniors |
Parent & Tot & Senior Skate offers a slower paced leisurely skate, which provides a safe environment. This is a great way to introduce your child to skating. A parent/guardian must provide constant, active, on-ice supervision. Sticks and pucks are not permitted. This skate is not supervised. Helmets are strongly recommended for all ages and are required for participants ages 6 years and under. Participants 6 & under – FREE Parents & Seniors - $2.00 a person |
Public Skating |
Public skating is an opportunity for a leisurely skate for all ages. This is a great way to spend time with family and friends while being active. Sticks and pucks are not permitted. Adult supervision is required for children ages 12 and under. |
Shinny Hockey |
Shinny hockey allows participants to play hockey for run in a game organized by the participants. No body contact is permitted. Full equipment is required. Nets will be provided. This program is not supervised by staff. Adult – Ages 18+ Youth – Ages 12-17 |
Stick and Puck |
Participants can work on the fundamentals of hockey and improve their skills. Helmets are required for all ages. No body contact, gameplay, or slapshots are permitted. Adult supervision is required for children ages 12 and under. |
Drop-in Figure Skating |
Drop in Figure skating is an affordable opportunity for Figure skaters to access additional practice ice time. Skaters must be a Skate Canada member; proof of membership may be required. This program is not supervised by staff. |
Senior Skate |
Senior Skate is designed for participants ages 50+ to participate in a leisurely skate in a seniors-only environment. This skate is not supervised. Helmets are strongly recommended. |
