Fitness Classes
The Township of Brock offers many fitness classes for you to enjoy! From yoga classes to Zumba, we have classes for every fitness level. All classes require pre-registration as limited spaces are available. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and individuals will be turned away. Registration must be completed online before the first class of each program.
Winter Fitness:
The Winter Fitness schedule will run January 8 - March 30, 2024. Full session registration has closed.
Single Class registration is available until the end of the Winter Session.
Spring Fitness:
The Spring Fitness Schedule will run April 2 - June 30, 2024. The schedule will offer both full session and single class registration. Full session registration opens March 8, 2024. Single class registration will only open once the minimum number of participants have been confirmed for the full course. Classes that do not reach minimum participation by March 22, 2024 will be cancelled and individual class registration will not open.
Full Session Registration is now open for the Spring Session.

Mondays:
Cardio Beat: Dance Your Way to a Healthier Heart
6:00-7:00 p.m. at Sunderland Memorial Arena

This dance fitness class is the perfect way to get your body moving, burn some calories, and have fun! Our experienced instructor will guide you through a variety of dance routines set to upbeat music, incorporating cardio and strength training moves. We round out the class with a tribal core-on-the-floor routine using drumsticks that you hit together and on the floor to the beat of the music. Whether you're a seasoned fitness enthusiast or just starting out, this class is suitable for all levels. Join us and let's dance our way to a healthier, happier you!

Core Power: Unlock Your Inner Strength and Energy

This Pilates-inspired workout focuses on strengthening the core and improving flexibility by combining body weight and dumbbell exercises. These low-impact exercises are designed to tone, strengthen, and lengthen muscles, while promoting proper alignment and posture. Suitable for all fitness levels, this class emphasizes controlled movements and breathing techniques to help you achieve a strong, balanced body and mind.

Zumba

Zumba Fitness is a global lifestyle brand that fuses fitness, entertainment and culture into an exhilarating dance-fitness sensation! These classes are like fitness parties that blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography, for a total-body workout that feels like a celebration.

Wednesdays:
Beaverton Yoga
6:00-7:00 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Yoga classes help you find connection between your breath, mind and body as you flow through a series of yoga postures. You will leave feeling calm, focused and energized. Classes are for all levels – no yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat and water to each class.

Restorative Yoga
7:15-8:15 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Restorative yoga typically involves three to four poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. You will hold each pose for up to 15 minutes including light twists, forward holds and gentle backbends. This is slightly different from traditional yoga, but you will still leave feeling relaxed.

Cannington Tabata Bootcamp

Tabata Bootcamp is a combination of strength training and cardio which breaks a workout down into intervals of 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. The end of class will include a small stretch and cool down. Great class for anyone looking for High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

In this class you will be guided through a series of precise, low impact, controlled movements that engage your core while strengthening abs, back, hips, and surrounding muscles. You will experience a holistic approach to training, focusing on proper alignment, breath, control, and the activation of your body’s deepest muscles. This class is suitable for all levels and modifications can be made as needed.

Experience your traditional Zumba class, easy to follow Latin-inspired choreography to international rhythms with a STRONG Nation® twist!
This challenging class will break up the dancing with HIIT body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves that are synced to original music.

Gentle Fit is designed to provide an effective workout to improve overall wellness and everyday function and includes:
- Cardio conditioning

Sport Programs:
Sports program registration will open March 21 at 10:00am. Programs will run Wednesdays at Brock High School. Registration is required and must be completed online by 12:00pm (noon) on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Pickleball
6:00-6:50 p.m. at Brock High School

Learn how to play the popular sport of Pickleball in a recreational setting. Great sport for beginners learning, but can easily advanced to a fast-paced competitive game. All participants are welcome. Teams will be made as people arrive and rotate through round robin games. |
Badminton
7:00-7:50 p.m. at Brock High School

Recreational Badminton. Teams will be made as people arrive and rotate through round robin games. Registration will only be accepted online. |
Adult Volleyball
Session 1 - 8:00-8:50 p.m. at Brock High School
Session 2 - 9:00-9:50 p.m. at Brock High School

Come out and play some fun recreational volleyball. Teams will be made as people arrive for scrimmages. No referees, just honest players. One court will be designated for a more advanced and competitive game, and one court will be designated for recreational game. Ages 16+.

Refunds
Refunds will only be provided in the situation where the Township has cancelled a class. If you register for a program, and do not attend, you will not be eligible for a refund.
