Tax Certificates
Tax certificates should be purchased by a lawyer during a property sale or when a mortgage is being approved for a property.
You can also submit a tax certificate request in writing and include the following information:
- Vendor/purchaser names
- Full address
- Legal description
- Closing date of the sale
- Property roll number

It is the Township of Brock's policy to obtain a copy of the transfer/deed to complete an ownership change. They can be mailed to the address above, sent by email or faxed to 705-432-2189.
If you are requesting a tax certificate on a property in a newly developed subdivision and the property has not been fully assessed please read how supplementary taxes are billed.
Fees
It costs $116.10 for each tax roll on your tax certificate request. Please make your cheque payable to the Township of Brock.
