Historical Societies and Museums
Each community in the Township of Brock has a historical society and museum that maintains a growing collection of artifacts.
Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society |
The Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society operates a museum that includes a mid to late 1800s brick house, log house and stone jail. They offer period furniture throughout as well as local crafts. |
Cannington Historical Society |
The Cannington Historical Society and Museum includes the 1860s Francis Cabin, which features original family household artifacts. The grounds also include the Brandon Cabin, built in the 1830s and is home to a family of twelve. The site also has a post, beam dive shed, the Derryville Orange Lodge Hall, a railway station and blacksmith shop. |
