Invitation to participate in the Boundary Road Day-Use Site Concept Design Survey from Parks Canada

Parks Canada would like to invite you to participate in a survey for the conceptual design phase of a new day-use site at the former Boundary Road Swing Bridge as part of the Trent-Severn Waterway National Historic Site.
This is an opportunity to share your input and help shape the future of this community space. Your feedback is important in creating a welcoming, accessible, and functional space that meets the community's recreational needs.
This survey/feedback mechanism is designed to be strictly anonymous, so please do not disclose confidential information about yourself or other individuals unnecessarily. All responses provided will remain anonymous, and the information collected will be administered in accordance with the Privacy Act, the Access to Information Act, and any other pertinent legislation.
To participate, you have two convenient options:
1. Complete the survey on paper and drop it into the mailbox located at the intersection of Talbot Drive and Simcoe Street.
2. Complete the survey online by following this LINK:
The survey will remain open from December 3, 2024, through December 19, 2024. Following the survey period and once the data is tabulated, we will share a “What We Heard” summary with the final concept design. In the meantime, residents may notice equipment and work crews on-site. These crews will be conducting archaeological assessments as part of the preparatory work for the larger remediation of the site. This important step ensures that we preserve and respect the site's historical and cultural significance as we move forward.
We sincerely appreciate your time and input. Your participation will help make the new day-use site enjoyable and inclusive for everyone in the community.
