Grant Recipients from Brock’s 23rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Council of the Township of Brock has approved the allocation of funds from the proceeds of the Township of Brock’s 23rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament.
A Golf Tournament committee consisting of the Mayor, Regional Councillor and 1 Ward Councillor along with a minimum of 4 Senior management staff receive applications from local organisations to fund youth oriented projects in the Township of Brock. These applications are reviewed by the committee to ensure they meet the application criteria, then they are either approved in full or part depending on the funding available in that year. These selected applications are presented to Council for final approval.
A total $11,162.00 has been distributed to eleven (8) successful applicants: Beaverton Skating Club, 659 Brock Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Cannington Horticultural Society, The Nourish and Develop Foundation, Precious Minds Support Services, Sunderland Ringette Association, Sunderland Lions Community Theatre and Thorah Central Public School. Funds provided to these organizations are intended to provide fifty percent of the total cost of the proposed project and are paid out after the project costs are incurred. A list of the successful organizations, proposed projects, and funding allocations is summarized below:

The members of Council have approved a second intake for applications that is open to organizations until 4:00 pm April 30, 2023.
