Significant Ice Storm Update - March 30, 2025

The Township of Brock continues to respond to the impacts of the ice storm. All available resources are actively responding, as well as Hydro One to address downed and potentially live wires as quickly and safely as possible. Please stay away from downed power lines.
The weight of the ice is causing significant tree damage and power lines to fall, creating hazardous conditions across Brock. Local road closures will be implemented as required to ensure safety and allow for efficient operations.
Residents are asked to stay in their homes and stay off the roads at this time. Crews need clear access to respond efficiently, and unsafe travel could put both the public and first responders at risk.
In addition, Brock operations crews remain active focusing on:
- Clearing trees and debris from roads, parks, and municipal properties
- Side walks will not be completed at this time due to low hanging branches
- Addressing localized flooding where ice and snow have blocked drainage
- Maintaining and treating road conditions
Power outages continue to affect Brock, and Environment Canada’s Freezing Rain Warning remains in effect.
