The Regional Municipality of Durham will continue road reconstruction of Regional Road 13 from 730 metres east of Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) to 810 metres west of Sideroad 17. The work includes grading, drainage, curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt, sod and seed, and new plantings.
Construction Schedule
The Region’s contractor, Dufferin Construction Company, will be mobilizing the week of April 21. Work is anticipated to be completed in its entirety by mid-June. Unfavorable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Road Closure
Regional Road 13 will remain open to all traffic with intermittent lane closures during the anticipated timeframe. Driveway access will be maintained whenever possible, and residents will be notified if vehicles are required to be temporarily relocated.
Municipal construction projects include the use of equipment which may cause noticeable noise and vibration for nearby residents and businesses. The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
