Special Council Meetings - November 3 & 6, 2023

NOTICE OF SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETINGS
TAKE NOTICE that, Council will be holding two separate Special Council meetings. The first to be held on November 3, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Administration Building at 1 Cameron Street East, Cannington, and the second on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre at 176 Main Street, Beaverton.
Specifically, both meetings will be immediately going into Closed...

Upcoming road closures on Bay Street and Mill Street in Brock

October 19 Update -Watermain replacement on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 15), Bay Street, Mill Street, and Church Street in the Township of Brock
The Regional Municipality of Durham has awarded the contract for watermain replacement on Simcoe Street (Regional Road 15), Bay Street, Mill Street and Church Street in the Township of Brock. Construction will start on Bay Street, Mill Street and Simcoe Street for the 2023 portion of work. Please refer to the attached map for construction limits.

Health Department launches campaign to raise awareness about safer cannabis consumption

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has launched a new campaign entitled, "Mindful Consumption", with the goal of encouraging responsible and safer cannabis use among adults 19 and older. The campaign focuses on cannabis edibles, which can affect individuals differently than other types of cannabis use.
