Township of Brock COVID-19 Update # 5
What does a State of Emergency in the Township of Brock mean?
In follow up to yesterday's State of Emergency declaration in the Township of Brock by Mayor Bath-Hadden, residents are asked to note the following information about this declaration:
- It is made in accordance with the Township's Emergency Management Plan.
- It demonstrates to residents that the municipality is taking the current situation very seriously and is using every step possible to protect our community from this threat.
- It has no impact or influence over the Province on Ontario’s State of Emergency issued on March 17, the March 23 direction from the Province of Ontario; or their direction around their classification of essential and non-essential services.
- It does not provide access to any funding programs to assist with extraordinary costs of emergency.
As a reminder, all Township of Brock facilities, including playgrounds and skateboard parks, are closed to the public until further notice and there is a burn ban in effect. Township staff are able to assist you via email or phone.
The Township continues to evaluate the services and staffing that need to be in place to effectively respond to COVID-19 on behalf of the Township of Brock Council.
