2017 Township of Brock Award Recipients The Township of Brock Accessibility Award is presented once a year to an organization or business in Brock that has shown a concerted effort to improve accessibility. Improved accessibility can mean either physical alterations or new programs and features that reduce barriers and permit greater access to services for those with disabilities. The purpose of this recognition is to thank the organization or business for its efforts and to encourage other organizations and businesses in the community to make accessible improvements.

Who We Are

The Township of Brock Accessibility Advisory Committee (B.A.A.C.) is dedicated to promoting a barrier free environment for employees, residents, and everyone else who lives, works, visits, or invests in Brock.

Township of Brock Accessibility Award

The Township of Brock Accessibility Award is presented once a year to an organization or business in Brock that has shown a concerted effort to improve accessibility. Improved accessibility can mean either physical alterations or new programs and features that reduce barriers to permit greater access to services for those with disabilities. The purpose of this recognition is to thank the organization or business for its efforts, and to encourage other organizations and businesses in the community to make accessible improvements.

How to Nominate

To nominate a deserving business or organization for the Township of Brock Accessibility Award, you must complete the nomination form (below) with details of their efforts to improve accessibility and/or accessibility awareness, and how the business/organizations has gone above and beyond to make accessibility a key factor in the community. The business or organization must be located within the Township of Brock.

Nominations will open on April 1, 2019.

The deadline to submit a nomination is May 31, 2019.

Adjudication Process

The Township of Brock Accessibility Advisory Committee will review all nomination forms and select one winner based on the criteria of showing a concerted effort to improve accessibility. Improved accessibility can mean either physical alterations or new programs and features that reduce barriers to permit greater access to services for those with disabilities.
