Durham Region Works Department: Concession 6 (River Street) Sunderland, Watermain Construction
The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department will start construction of a new watermain and water services on Concession Road 6 from 410 metres east of Kings Hwy 7/Hwy 12 to 855 metres eastward in Sunderland, in the Township of Brock.
The Region's contractor, CoCo Paving Inc. will start work the week of September 24th and anticipates completing the work by December 2018. Unfavourable weather conditions may affect the work schedule.
The roadway will be open to traffic for the duration of the contract. Lane restrictions down to one lane may occur during construction and delays should be anticipated. Further information and future updates will be posted on durham.ca/WorksProjects. The Region realizes that the work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly as possible.
Temporary Water Service Interruptions
During the course of this work, residents will experience intermittent water supply interruptions. The contractor will notify homeowners at least 24 hours in advance of any required service interruptions to give homeowners sufficient time to prepare. It is recommended that homeowners keep a supply of water in containers for drinking, cooking and general purposes during the service interruptions.
