Program Description
Aboriginal Business Canada (ABC) ABC provides funding to Aboriginal entrepreneurs, communities and organizations to increase the number of viable businesses in Canada that are owned and operated by Aboriginal People.
Apprenticeship Employer Signing Bonus A $2,000 Employer Signing Bonus encourages employers in the trades to register new apprentices in sectors where there is a high demand for skilled workers.
Apprenticeship Training Tax Credit A refundable tax credit available to employers who hire and train apprentices in certain skilled trades during the first 48 months of an apprenticeship program. Qualifying businesses can claim up to 35 percent (45 percent for small businesses) of eligible expenditures incurred during the first 48 months of an apprenticeship program.
Canada Business Network Provides new and existing businesses with information and resources on government services, programs, and regulations. Business planning and market research resources are also available.
Canada Business Ontario Information on federal and provincial government programs, services, and regulations, as well as hundreds of categorized links to both government and non-government sites. There are also a number of helpful internet-based business tools.
Community Futures Development Corporation(CFDC) CFDC provides loans, grants, and financing (loans of up to $150,000 to a single business). The

Futurpreneur Canada  A national, non-profit organization that provides financing, mentoring, and support tools to aspiring business owners aged 18-39. (formerley BYBF)

Ontario Ministry of Finance Information on tax credits available to businesses in Ontario to help lower costs, hire/train workers, compete in the marketplace, and support various sectors.
Ontario Self-Employment Benefit Program Provides unemployed individuals who are, or have recently been, eligible for Employment Insurance with income and entrepreneurial support while they develop and start their business.
