February 24, 2025 Snow Removal Update

Public Work crews are removing snow today in Cannington starting on Albert St. by the McCaskill’s Mills Public School. They will vacate Albert Street during school opening, closing and possibly at lunch time. Removal will continue throughout the day on Albert Street and other areas in Cannington. Contractors are finishing work at the Marydel Subdivision and will move to Cannington once work is completed, weather permitting.

Public works update – Excessive snow removal February 21, 2025

Ongoing operations should complete excess snow removal in Beaverton’s Marydel subdivision early Tuesday. Crews will be dispatched to Cannington or Sunderland, weather permitting.
The Township understands that this large accumulation of snow is frustrating but rest assured that the Township is doing everything it can with the resources available.

Blackwater Bridge Construction Update – February 2025

Construction on the Blackwater Bridge located on Concession 4 in Sunderland will begin on February 26, 2025. The bridge will remain closed during this time.
The Bridge has been closed due to safety concerns identified by the engineering consultant retained to complete the design for rehabilitation of the Blackwater Bridge.
