With large amounts of rain forecasted, the Township encourages residents to clear their catch basins and culverts. Staff are addressing areas of concern on a priority basis.

Half Load Restrictions in effect March 1, 2025

Please be advised that half load restrictions will be in effect in the Township of Brock as of Saturday March 1st, 2025.
Half-load restrictions are generally from March to May. Exact dates are set each year, dependent on road conditions and temperatures. When half-load restrictions are in effect, signs will indicate the road is off limits to vehicles exceeding 5 tonnes per axle.
Please note passenger vehicles are exempt from this restriction.

February 25, 2025 Snow Removal Update

Snow removal update - February 25, 2025 This morning the sidewalks are being scraped and sanded in all 3 towns. Public Works staff are plowing drifts and sanding concession roads where necessary. After the concession roads completed, staff will be removing snow from Main Street in Beaverton. Contractors are in Cannington removing snow through out the day. February 24, 2025 Snow Removal Update

Public Work crews are removing snow today in Cannington starting on Albert St. by the McCaskill’s Mills Public School. They will vacate Albert Street during school opening, closing and possibly at lunch time. Removal will continue throughout the day on Albert Street and other areas in Cannington. Contractors are finishing work at the Marydel Subdivision and will move to Cannington once work is completed, weather permitting.
