CN Rail Track is temporarily out on Simcoe St. West of Main Street, Beaverton

Please be advised that today, October 11, 2024, CN Rail has informed the Township of Brock that the track is temporarily out on Simcoe St. West of Main Street in Beaverton.
CN Rail and Public Works Staff will close Simcoe Street from the intersection of Simcoe and Main to the arena entrance for unplanned emergency track work tomorrow October 12, 2024, from 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Traffic will be able to use Main St and the arena parking lot to access Simcoe St. and the Beaverton Harbour.

Blackwater Bridge, Concession 4 Brock - New Weight Restrictions

Please be advised that Blackwater Bridge located on Concession 4 Brock, East of Blackwater Road and West of Sideroad 18 has new imposed weight restrictions. As a result, the bridge will be closed to all commercial and farm vehicles and is only admissible for local, passenger vehicles. Staff will continue to monitor the conditions of the bridge and will advise of any permanent closure. This bridge will remain closed to commercial and farm traffic until otherwise noted.

Cannington, ON, October 10, 2024 – Today, Enbridge Gas Inc. (Enbridge Gas) and the Brock Township Fire Department announced they are working together to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.
