Beaver River Bridge Replacement Update August 16, 2024

The Region of Durham is currently designing temporary and permanent replacements of the Beaver River Bridge, located on Regional Road 15 east of Highway 12, in the Township of Brock. The existing bridge will be replaced with a new structure and is scheduled to commence construction in 2026 and be completed in 2027. In the interim, a temporary bridge is tentatively scheduled to be opened to traffic in the fall of 2024.
Both the temporary and permanent bridges are in the design stage.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Regional Road 13 in the Township of Brock.
Where: Regional Road 13 from 732 metres east of Lakeridge Road to 810 metres west of Sideroad 17, in Brock.
When: Work begins August 12, 2024. Anticipated completion of this phase of construction is December 2024 and surface asphalt by the end of May 2025. Unfavorable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Notice of Construction - July 2024

Please be advised that construction will be starting in July on the Logan Homes subdivision off Nine Mile Road and Maplewood Avenue in Beaverton. Construction will include earthworks and pre-servicing works to prepare the site for a residential subdivision that has been approved for this area. Visit the Township’s website for more information.

January 25, 2024 Update
Contractors have completed works for this winter season. Simcoe St is now open between the Holy Family Catholic School and Madill St.
January 20, 2024 Update
Contractors have returned to the site to complete the mainline watermain on Simcoe Street from Union St. to Madill St Simcoe Street will remain closed until work has been completed.
