Within the next couple weeks into the late fall, Firefighters from the Brock Township Fire Department will be going door-to-door to educate residents on fire safety by delivering the Alarmed for Life Program.

The Township of Brock is pleased to announce the appointment of Wayne Ward as the new Director of Parks, Recreation & Facilities, effective April 15, 2024.
In December 2023, Council approved the Parks, Recreation & Culture Master Plan, in which several recommendations were made, including the need to establish a separate department for Parks, Recreation, and Culture, distinct from Public Works.

The 2024 Budget for the Township of Brock was approved by Council on Monday March 4, 2024.

Sunderland Arena Renovation and Expansion Project Timeline Update

The timelines for the Sunderland Arena closure have been updated to reflect delays due to cost escalations and the resulting de-scope of the project to meet budget.
The arena was initially scheduled to close April 8, 2024. With the delay for approval from the Province on the Township’s de-scope application, the anticipated construction start has been pushed back five months to mid-September 2024, following the Sunderland Fall Fair.

The Township of Brock and Council are thrilled to announce the addition of 2 advanced EV chargers. This latest Green Climate Initiative is a result of a federal government grant application in partnership with Durham Region and supplied by HWiSEL EV.
