The Township of Brock has declared a State of Emergency due to the severe and escalating impacts of the ongoing ice storm affecting the region.
The declaration was made by Mayor Walter Schummer, Deputy Mayor Mike Jubb, Brock Township Fire Chief Rick Harrison and Deputy CAO/Municipal Clerk Fernando Lamanna at 1.26 p.m. on March 30, 2025

Half Load Restrictions in effect March 1, 2025

Please be advised that half load restrictions will be in effect in the Township of Brock as of Saturday March 1st, 2025.
Half-load restrictions are generally from March to May. Exact dates are set each year, dependent on road conditions and temperatures. When half-load restrictions are in effect, signs will indicate the road is off limits to vehicles exceeding 5 tonnes per axle.
Please note passenger vehicles are exempt from this restriction.

For Immediate Release Township of Brock Declares Significant Weather Event Due to Heavy Snow Accumulation
Based on the heavy snow fall, the Township wishes to advise residents that roads may be snow covered and slippery. Residents are encouraged to stay home. If travel is unavoidable please drive according to the weather conditions.
