Beaver River Bridge Replacement update November 1, 2024

The Region of Durham is progressing with temporary and permanent replacements of the Beaver River Bridge, located on Regional Road 15 west of Highway 12, in the Township of Brock. The old bridge will be replaced with a new structure and it is scheduled to commence construction in 2026 and be completed in 2027. In the interim, a temporary bridge will open to traffic in mid-November of 2024.

The Regional Municipality of Durham has begun the road reconstruction of Regional Road 13 from 730 metres east of Lakeridge Road (Regional Road 23) to 810 metres west of Sideroad 17. The work includes asphalt removal, grading, drainage, granular base and subbase, curb and gutter, hot mix asphalt, culvert replacement, two precast box culverts, sod and seed, and new plantings.

The Regional Municipality of Durham has begun the watermain replacement on Jane Street from Ida Street to approximately 230 metres north of Ida Street, Ida Street between Albert Street and Jane Street, and Maple Street North.
