The Region of Durham has provided an updated to Council of the future plans of the Future Vallentyne Bypass. The Region is currently in the design phase of the project. This update also provided a brief update on RR13 Construction and ways in which the Region is using the excess fill for road side improvement. - Council and Township staff are grateful to the Foster Hewitt Foundation for their generous donation of $25,000 towards to the Sunderland Memorial Arena Project.

- The Township of Brock is proud to recognize Captain Jesse Beaudrow, for his incredible courage in risking his life to save others. Jesse was recently awarded the Ontario Medal for Firefighter Bravery, the province’s highest honour for his heroism.

The Sunderland Arena Project Manager contract was awarded to CBRE. Council provided staff with direction to put ice in the Sunderland Arena for the 2024-2025 winter season
Quick Facts
- Ice will be installed at the Sunderland Memorial Arena for the 2024/2025 winter season
- Construction will begin in spring of 2025

- Durham Region Greener Homes provided an overview of their program which helps Brock residents upgrade their home with energy efficient retrofits.
- Cannington Lions Club have proposed a new community initiative to relocate and expand the existing half size basketball court in Cannington's MacLeod Park. Council accepted the proposal and directed staff to work with the Cannington Lions Club to coordinate the installations in conjunction with the resurfacing of the former skateboard area.
