Fitness Classes
The Township of Brock offers many fitness classes for you to enjoy! From yoga classes to Zumba, we have classes for every fitness level. All classes require pre-registration as limited spaces are available. Walk-ins will not be accepted, and individuals will be turned away. Registration must be completed online before the first class of each program.
Winter Fitness:
The Winter Fitness Schedule will run January 6 - March 30, 2025. The schedule will offer both full session and single class registration. Full session registration opens December 9, 2024. Single class registration will only open once the minimum number of participants have been confirmed for the full course. Classes that do not reach minimum participation by January 2, 2025 will be cancelled and individual class registration will not open.
Full Session Registration is now open for the Winter Session.
Single Class registration is scheduled to open on January 2, 2025 for the Winter Session.
Mondays:
Baby & Me Fitness Flow
11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre

Baby and Me Fitness Flow is a gentle, yet effective workout designed to help new moms safely reintroduce their bodies to movement after childbirth. This class combines strength and cardio exercises that can incorporate your baby into the workout (or without, if you prefer a solo experience). Focused on building strength, endurance, and flexibility, we’ll start with basic movements that target key areas, followed by mat work that emphasizes core breathing techniques and pelvic floor strengthening. Each session concludes with a relaxing stretch for mom and a soothing massage for baby, leaving both of you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Perfect for moms at all stages of postpartum recovery, this class offers a supportive and flexible environment for both parent and baby.

P90X

P90X is a one-hour, all-in-one workout for all fitness levels. This high-intensity class combines Tabata, lower and upper body exercises, and core training to improve strength, balance, flexibility, coordination, and cardiovascular endurance. Through "Muscle Confusion," P90X continuously challenges your body, ensuring progress and building a stronger you. Whether you want to tone, build strength, or enhance athletic performance, P90X delivers real results.

Zumba Fitness is a global lifestyle brand that fuses fitness, entertainment and culture into an exhilarating dance-fitness sensation! These classes are like fitness parties that blend upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography, for a total-body workout that feels like a celebration.

Tuesdays:
Yoga/Pilates Fusion
6:15 p.m-7:15 p.m. at Rick MacLeish Memorial Community Centre

This class offers a perfect introduction to Pilates, blending the grounding, flowing movements of yoga with the core-strengthening techniques of Pilates. We will flow through a series of yoga poses while incorporating beginner Pilates exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen the body. Whether you're new to either practice or have experience, this class is suitable for all levels. Poses and movements can be easily modified to be performed either in a chair or on the mat, making it accessible for everyone. Expect to improve flexibility, build strength, and find balance in both body and mind.

Pilates

In this class you will be guided through a series of precise, low impact, controlled movements that engage your core while strengthening abs, back, hips, and surrounding muscles. You will experience a holistic approach to training, focusing on proper alignment, breath, control, and the activation of your body’s deepest muscles. This class is suitable for all levels and modifications can be made as needed.

Beaverton Yoga
6:00-7:00 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Yoga classes help you find connection between your breath, mind and body as you flow through a series of yoga postures. You will leave feeling calm, focused and energized. Classes are for all levels – no yoga experience necessary. Please bring a yoga mat and water to each class.

Restorative Yoga
7:15-8:15 p.m. at Beaverton Town Hall

Restorative yoga typically involves three to four poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. You will hold each pose for up to 15 minutes including light twists, forward holds and gentle backbends. This is slightly different from traditional yoga, but you will still leave feeling relaxed.

Circuit Fusion

This comprehensive full-body workout is designed to enhance muscle conditioning, cardiovascular fitness, and core strength. Total Body Boot Camp

Total Body Boot Camp is an intense and energizing workout designed to challenge every muscle group. Tabata Bootcamp
6:00-7:00 p.m. at Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre

Tabata Bootcamp is a combination of strength training and cardio which breaks a workout down into intervals of 20 seconds of exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest. The end of class will include a small stretch and cool down. Great class for anyone looking for High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT).

Cardio & Strength Fit is designed to provide an effective workout to improve or maintain overall wellness and everyday function and includes:
- Cardio conditioning

Refunds will only be provided in the situation where the Township has cancelled a class. If you register for a program, and do not attend, you will not be eligible for a refund.
